“A War against e-Waste”. India produces more than 1 million tonnes of e-waste, which is the third highest in the world after the USA and China. The alarming issue is that only 23% of the e-waste produced is collected, dismantled, and recycled or disposed off properly.
To address the rising issue of e-waste management I, Angad Tathgir took the initiative along with 5RCycle Foundation, a NGO creating a channel of e-waste collection and disposal. EcoBinRecycle is an initiative to do home collection of e-waste and disposal of it in a responsible manner. The platform provides a solution for effective and easy disposal and collection of e-waste just by a click of a button. Global warming is getting out of our hands so the only way we can win this war against it is by donating all of your household's electronic waste, so that it can be effectively recycled and reused.

WHY EcoBinRecycle
EcoBinRecycle – Don’t be mean, keep it green
- EcoBinRecycle is an initiative for collection of e-waste along with the help of 5RCycle Foundation. The platform is built with a capability to connect with us via email to collect e-waste once a user submits a simple e-waste collection request.
- The platform aims to bring onboard over 30 plus different solid waste collection community-based organisations working in different parts of the city, with many of them focused on implementing programs for poor urban women helping them in higher income generation.
- Using the platform citizens can dispose hazardous e-waste by just a click of a button without any cost.
- Common workers collecting e-waste either do not have right resources or adopt poor methodologies resulting in air, water, and soil pollution.
- Platform is an initiative to helps individuals and corporates meet with their socio-environmental responsibilities.

Sustainability
EcoBinRecycle’s initiative to bring on-line 30 plus community-based organisations engaged in e-waste collection in different parts of the city so that the e-waste is disposed of in scientific manners while reducing the negative impact on environment.
In future, the platform aims to:
• Work with Corporate India to help them dispose off e-waste, which is not only recycled but are also identified properly to be refurbished.
• technically train people from the underprivileged segments of society to help identify (re)usable electronic devices which can refurbished for commercial purpose.
